ACE-031 is a soluble decoy receptor that sequesters myostatin, activin A and related TGF-β superfamily ligands before they can engage ActRIIB on the cell surface. Published preclinical work covers ligand-binding selectivity, SMAD2/3 signalling suppression in murine muscle, and the vascular findings that halted its clinical programme. Supplied as a homodimeric glycoprotein; mass depends on the expression system.
